On my way home from a friend date in Ocean Beach with Monica Flores I noticed the talented musician Drew Thams walking down Sunset Cliffs Blvd. Upon seeing him I grinned so big I couldn’t whistle at him. Instead I shouted a broken “Hey!” out of the tan vans window while waving. Monica pulled the car around and we were invited to have a beer with Drew at this very tall redheaded man’s apartment on Cape May.

Within the week Ryan messaged me saying he used to record at a studio in D.C. and that he wanted to record some songs with me. I came over that weekend and this is what we made. I got a few intimate recordings and a new boyfriend out of that chance encounter in Ocean Beach.

I did not write these songs. These are for you.
